Physical DescriptionTransparent dark blue non-lead glass; blown (molded?), cut, enameled, gilt, transfer-printed. Slightly tapered, cylindrical form, with cut rounded panels at the base; gilt rim; white enamel panel of rectangular form with cut corners, on the side; black transfer-printed half-length portrait of a woman, wearing a large, soft hat, and a wide pearl necklace, within a wreath of oak leaves and laurel, with a crown above and double-headed Russian Imperial Eagle below; with flags and banners at either side; illegible inscription on the base; gilt outline to the panel, with stylized gold and black (tarnished silver) stylized foliage extending around the back; gilt band around the base; large polished concave pontil mark on the bottom.Provenance
