Physical Description2 Preserving Jars. Bluish aquamarine, opaque white non-lead glass; mold-blown, automatic machinery, pressed. Barrel shape; smooth lip, screw threads on neck with flange below; mold seam on each side from lip to base. (A) Obverse embossed "Ball" in script above "PERFECT/MASON"; large molded circle on base with "8" and "E" inside. (B) Same as A except "Perfect" and "Mason" are in different positions; "10" as "E" on base. (AB) Both jars have red rubber rings and zinc caps with pressed opaque white glass liners- (Aa) embossed "GENUINE BOYD CAP/ FOR MASON JARS" (Ba) embossed "BOYD'S GENUINE PORCELAIN LINED CAP."
