Physical DescriptionColorless lead (?) glass; mold-blown, cut; molded, encased sulphide. Tapered, straight-sided bowl, with molded rounded panels on the sides, constricted above the rounded base; an oval, cut, convex panel on the side, enclosing a molded white ceramic (sulphide) bust-length portrait of a young man, in a fur robe, holding a tied tree-branch cross and pennant in his crossed arms; rectangular panel below, inscribed "St Jean."; shell ends, scroll supports; waisted stem, flared paneled hexagonal foot; concave beneath, with polished, flat rim.Provenance
