Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilt. Tall, cylindrical shape; gilt rim; three borders of gilt diamonds and bands with red, green, and blue enamel dots, between rows of blue and white dots at the top, center, and base of the glass; in the two zones between are a representation of St. Mauritius, dated "1591" above, and thirteen coats of arms belonging to the members of the Chapter of the Cathedral of Magdeburg; a crudely scratched "M" on the side in the upper rank; with trailed foot ring; border of gilt diamonds with blue and white enamel dots on the edge of the foot rim; slight kick with rough pontil mark.Provenance
